Dr. Thabisile Griffin is a historian of the 18th century Atlantic world, Black indigeneity, and colonial insecurity. She has published for various outlets, including Ufahamu: A Journal of African Studies, the Journal of Architectural Education Reparations Issue (JAE), and The Funambulist. Formerly an ACLS Global Racisms Fellow, she has also lectured and programmed for the Ambedkar Initiative in the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University for Global Racisms. Currently she is faculty at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles, and teaches on Caribbean history, racial capitalism, racialization, property, and the commons.
