Join UM's Center for Global Black Studies and the Black Central Americas Project for a day-long symposium bringing together scholars, community organizers, artists, and cultural workers to explore the histories and lived experiences of Black Central Americans in South Florida. Focusing on migration, place-making, and cultural preservation, the symposium will highlight the many ways Black Central Americans continue to shape the region's social, political, and cultural landscapes.
